Richard R. Wegrzyn, age 87, of Eddyville and formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away Monday, November 2, 2020 at his home. He was a retired salesman with Frito-Lay and a member of Wesleyan Methodist Church in Chicago, IL. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served during the Korean conflict.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jeanette Phelps Wegrzyn, Eddyville, KY; five sons, Ricky (Margie) Wegrzyn, Denver, Colorado; Randy (Shannon) Wegrzyn, Chicago, IL; Brian (Marla) Wegrzyn, Cohutta, Georgia; Lee (Cindy) Wolfe, Hudson City, FL; and David (Sara) Wolfe, Cadiz, KY; two daughters, LaVonna (Steve) Wileman, Eddyville, KY and Theresa Buck, Chicago, IL; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sophie Kwit Wegrzyn, one sister, Marlene Sinyl and two brothers, Joe Wegrzyn and Joe Rezeko.
Visitation will be Friday, November 6, 2020 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville, KY. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville, KY.
