Joan Faughn, 68, of Calvert City, KY passed away on October 29, 2020 at Marshall County Hospital.
Joan was born in Benton, KY on December 3, 1951 to the late Mary Francis Faughn and Aurthor Faughn. She had several jobs but spent most of her career working as a waitress. Joan had many passions and interests that she enjoyed in her spare time. She loved to cook, travel to new places, watch her grandson “Bub” play football, tend to her flower garden, build a puzzle, and always enjoyed dancing. Joan was a talented seamstress who loved to make dresses and costumes for anyone who needed them. She also enjoyed quilting, and had many countless quilts for her family and friends throughout the years. She was very honest and would always tell people the truth, even if they did not want to hear it. She will be remembered for having a kind and gracious heart, being selfless, always there for people, and willing to do anything for anyone.
She is survived by her daughter, Darla Stevenson; two sisters, Donna Futrell and Marilyn Newton; two brothers, Harold Faughn and Bernice Faughn; four grand-children, Mercedes Wheeler, Jacqueline McFarland, Tommie Crank III, and Hailey Crank; one great grandchild, Ryker Brown; her dog, Scarlett; and her cat, Jake.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Tatum and Joseph Tatum; one sister, Teresa Price; and her parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home with Jeremy Short officitiating.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home.
