Mrs. Robbie Jean Culp, 86 of the Sharpe community died Thursday, October 22nd, 2020 at Baptist Health, Paducah, KY.
Robbie was born June 14th, 1934 to Charles Ray and Jewell Mae (Irvan) Powers in Reidland, Kentucky. She was a 1952 graduate of Reidland High School and regularly attended monthly breakfast socials with her classmates. She was also a graduate of Draughon’s Business College. Robbie was the retired Assistant Manager of Lake Chem Federal Credit Union in Calvert City. She was an active member of Southland Baptist Temple and taught the Children’s Beginner Sunday School class for 56 years. She also served as a cook for the SBT Youth Camp. Robbie was steadfast in her faith and enjoyed traveling, but most especially she loved her family and her “perfect” grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Glenda (Ricky) Russell and Gloria (Steve) Mathis, both of Benton, KY; one brother, Jerry Powers of Paducah, KY; one sister, Clara Culp of Benton, KY; one special daughter-in-law, Stephanie Walker; five grandchildren, Jessica (Greg) Williams of Versailles, KY, Elyssa (Cheyenne) Koch of Benton, KY, Stephanie (Josh) Adams of Weldon Springs, MO, Kelly Mathis of Sharpe, KY, and Ryan (Meagan) Mathis of Benton, KY; 11 great-grandchildren, Samuel, Adalynn, Andrew, Amelia, Isaac, Kinley, Elizabeth, Joshua, Cole, Tyler, and Brooklyn; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Robbie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, Billy Eugene Culp; one son, Jeff Culp; one sister and four brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25th, 2020 in the chapel of Collier Funeral Home, 211 West Fifth Street, Benton, KY with Pastor Cheyenne Koch, Ryan Mathis, and Samuel Lanham officiating. Interment will follow at Fooks Cemetery
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25th at the funeral home.
