Sandra F. Bayston, 73, of Bourbonnais, IL formerly of Graves County, KY, died on Monday, October 5, 2020, at the Miller Rehabilitation Center in Kankakee, IL. She was born on March 10, 1947, the daughter of James C. and Clara Pea Hill. She married Donald E. Bayston on January 23, 1970, in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on June 21, 2018.
She has two children; son, Brian (Melissa) Bayston of Bourbonnais, IL, and daughter, Jennifer (Mark) Thiesen of Kankakee, IL; four grandchildren; Christopher Bayston, Lucas Bayston, Jacob Bayston, and Lexi Thiesen. One brother and sister-in-law, James R. (Linda) Hill of Spring Branch, TX. One sister, Kathy Taylor of Bourbonnais, IL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Sandy previously worked in the banking industry. She was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Kankakee, IL. Sandy enjoyed shopping and traveling, especially to Hawaii. She loved taking care of her huskies and attending grandchildren’s events.
A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00AM Friday October 9, 2020 at the Bazzell Cemetery. Rev. Jim Dunn will officiate. No visitation is scheduled friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY is in charge of arrangements.
