Betty Jo McLeod, 77, of Grand Rivers, KY passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at her home.
Betty was born in Grand Rivers, KY on Saturday, August 14, 1943 to the late Fay Wells and Mary Helen Walters Wells. Although she was of Pentecostal Faith, she attended church at Grand Rivers Baptist Church with her husband George. Betty loved to cook and even owned and operated her own restaurants, Jo’s Place, and most recently Catfish Landing. She and her husband of 23 years, George McLeod, loved to spend their time traveling all across the U.S. from Anaheim, CA to Boothbay, ME playing and competing in professional miniature golf tournaments.
She is survived by her husband, George McLeod; two sons, Glenn Hatfield and wife Michele of Gilbertsville, KY, and Roger Hatfield and wife Shelia of Marietta, SC; one step son, Monty McLeod of Kutttawa, KY; one step daughter, Teresa Travis and husband Tracy of Princeton, KY; two sisters, Joyce Brantley of Kuttawa, KY and Shelby Neal of Calvert City, KY; two special sisters, Nancy Wells of Symsonia, KY and Mary Fulks of Grand Rivers, KY; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Chris Hatfield; one daughter, Donna Jo Hatfield; four brothers, Cecil Wells, Jerry Wells, Dennis Wells, and Infant Ivan Wells; and her parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home with Bro. Dee Hazelwood and Bro. Carl Wade Brantley officiating. Burial will follow at Dixon Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home.
