Susie Taylor Boddy, age 77, of Benton, KY passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Calvert City Convalescent Center.
Mrs. Boddy was born in Marshall County on February 5, 1943 to the late Harley and Bertha Taylor. She was a supervisor over housekeeping at Brithaven of Benton for 21 years. She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church.
Susie will be remembered for her caring and nurturing character. She was everyone’s mom and mamaw that knew her. She cared deeply for her family and devoted all of her time and attention to them. She never met a stranger and loved to sing at home and at her church.
Susie is survived by three daughters, Connie Lovett (Greg) of Murray, Tammy Boddy Riley of Benton and Jill Boddy of Princeton; one son, Stacey Boddy (Denise) of Benton; six grandchildren, Kimberly Riley, Cody Riley, Keaton Boddy, Kaitlyn Boddy, Kolt Boddy and Clara Boddy; four great-grandchildren, Colson Burnett, Cameron Burnett, Carson Burnett and Jace Riley; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Boddy; her parents; one sister, Helen Frick; and six brothers, James Taylor, Bob Taylor, Delbert Taylor, Bill Taylor, Joe Taylor and Shields Taylor.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Bro. Scott Penick officiating.
