Opal Fisher, 99

Opal B. Fisher, 99, of Benton, KY passed away on September 21, 2020 at Marshall County Hospital.

Opal was born in Marshall County on August 17, 1921 to the late Clyde Peck and Rosa Harper Peck. She was an engineering clerk for the South Florida Water Management. She loved to travel and was very active with her church in her younger years. She enjoyed dancing, and cherished her family and loved them dearly. Opal was an Eastern Star and a member of Church Grove United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her step daughter, Murl Janis of Charles City, IA; one nephew, Ronald Cope of Benton, KY; a niece, Diana Mumm of West Palm Beach, Florida; several cousins; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Fisher; one daughter, Beatrice H. Fisher; two sisters, Debra Cope, and Rosa Caldwell; her adopted father, Audie Burd; and her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home with Rev. David Garrett officitiating. Burial will follow at Marshall County Memory Garden.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home.
