Dora Myers, 84

Dora “Maxine” Myers, age 84, formerly of Benton, passed away Monday, September 14, 2020 at Majestic Care in Avon, IN.

Maxine was born in Marshall County on December 23, 1935 to her late parents, Lawrence and Eura Maye Turner. She spent her career as a licensed practical nurse but loved drawing, crocheting, painting pictures and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda Allen of Las Vegas, NV, Kimberly (Keith) Atkinson of Indianapolis, IN; son, Roger Myers of Benton; sister, Shirley (Tony) Edwards of Gilbertsville; two brothers, Bruce Turner, John (Sandra) Turner; eight grandchildren, Jessie Allen, Daniel Winings, Elizabeth Winings, Amanda Montijo, Kelsey Myers, Riley Myers, Robert Atkinson, Jenny Lynn Atkinson; five great-grandchildren, David Winings, Linnea Winings, Aubryana McGlan, McKinzee McGlan, Lucy Hoerner.

In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by three sisters, Julia Givens, Jo Ann Posey, Francis Gordon; two brothers, Jack Turner, Stanley Turner.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Filbeck-Cann of Milner and Orr Funeral Homes with Rev. John Coffenberry officiating. Burial will follow in Marshall County Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
