Mr. Gene Sevene, Sr. , age 75 of Hickory, KY passed away Sunday August 23, 2020 at the Mercy Health- Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY.
He was a Vietnam Army Veteran, Member of the Mt. Erie Nazarene Church in Mt. Erie, IL and a retired truck driver from Henderson Trucking in Salem, IL.
Mr. Sevene is survived by his wife of 34 years, Claudia Hull Sevene; one son, Eugene Earl Sevene, Jr. of Woodstown, NJ; three daughters, Kelly Alexander of Hickory, KY, Michele Sevene (Scott) Hewitt of Alloway, NJ, and Billie Watson of Bardwell, KY; four brothers, Gordon ( Judy) Sevene of Mayfield, KY, Ted (Valerie) Sevene of Bolton, VT, Terry (Ann) Sevene of Roxbury, VT, and Francis (Sheryl) Sevene, Jr. of Dover-Foxcroft, ME; six sisters, Melvina Spence of Richmond, VT, Ellie (Glen) Martin of Jericho, VT, Shailer Morrissey of Austin, TX, Charlene (Kurt) Stone of Dover-Foxcroft, ME, Sharyon Sevene of Hinesburg, VT and Tammy Sevene of Alburg, VT; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin Sevene; one sister, Stephany Deyo; and his parents, Francis and Pearl Sevene.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY is in charge of arrangements.
