Ameribration Fireworks rescheduled for Labor Day

Due to COVID-19 Ameribration, the annual Calvert City 4th of July festival, was
cancelled, and the fireworks postponed for Labor Day weekend. On September 5,
Calvert City will host a lake firework display beginning at dusk.

The fireworks display will be launched from the north end of Kentucky Lake by water
and will be visible from the banks of Kentucky Lake or by boat. This is a drive-in fireworks
display. Spectators should remain in or around their vehicles and remember to social
distance.

“We’re excited to host the Labor Day Fireworks Show. This will be the first time Calvert
City’s fireworks will be displayed from Kentucky Lake and we expect everyone to follow
the guidelines of social distancing and wearing masks,” said Calvert City Mayor, Lynn
Jones.

Before claiming your spot for the fireworks show, please consider supporting local
Calvert City restaurants by ordering to-go prior to the event. Spectators shall dispose of
all trash offsite. Restroom facilities will not be provided.

Please be courteous of those around you and follow social distancing guidelines. Avoid
gathering in large groups and wear masks. “We want to be as safe as possible and
enjoy a wonderful fireworks display. It’s important that we follow the state guidelines
when attending the fireworks show,” followed Jones
