Elena Blevins with the Kentucky Lake convention and Visitors Bureau was our guest on Coffee Call

The Executive Director of the Kentucky Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau, Elena Blevins joined us recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. Blevins said the tourist season has been positive this year and with school starting back later this year because of the virus she is seeing more bookings at area facilities later in the season, especially lodging on weekends. She says marketing the area is more than just encouraging people to come to Marshall County, but it’s to inform people of all the fun things there are to do in the entire region, including Land Between the Lakes and even Discovery Park in Union City, Tennessee. The tourism industry in Marshall County was very positive, with 700 jobs, 17 million dollars generated with 5 million in state and local taxes and 76 million in total expenditures, with a majority of that from outside tourists. To see everything the lakes area has to offer and for a look at upcoming events go to visitkylake.com.
