Paul Blackburn, long time resident of Benton, Kentucky and most recently a resident of Bay City, Texas passed away on July 31, 2020 at the age of 84.
Paul is survived by his brother Richard Blackburn; children Shawn Blackburn (Louanna Blackburn) and Shannon Keeling (Doug Keeling); grandchildren Heather Ontiveros, Ethan Blackburn, Bethany Blackburn and Jenna Davies and great-grandchildren Caitlyn Camarena and Emma Ontiveros.
Paul was born in Xenia, Ohio on January 19, 1936 to Pearl and Myrtle Craig Blackburn. He graduated from Kingman High School in 1954 and moved to Casa Grande, Arizona soon after where he met married Lola Russell in 1958. Most of his working years were spent in Phoenix Arizona. After retiring, Paul moved to Benton, Kentucky to live near his sisters. In 2018 he relocated to Bay City, Texas to live closer to his son.
Paul was a Navy veteran, having served during the cold war years as a radioman in Hawaii. He had many occupations during his lifetime; including making maple syrup, farming, ranching, auto parts store, car salesman and inventory specialist at Allied Signal. He enjoyed hunting as a favorite pastime and had many special memories and trophies of those times.
Paul attended Turning Point Church in Bay City and stayed active until the end. He did not wish to have a funeral service and was cremated by Taylor Brothers Funeral Home in Bay City.
