Mr. Jerry Jones, age 81 of Benton, KY died on Monday, June 15, 2020, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. He was a pastor for the Oasis of Love Fellowship in St. Charles, MO and also worked in the construction industry. He was a member of the National Guard.
Born Thursday, June 30, 1938 in Broken Arrow, OK, he was the son of the late Thurman S. Jones and the late Josephine M. (Scott) Jones.
Surviving are his wife, Elaine Jones of Benton ,KY, daughter, Deborah Schant, husband Danny of Olympia, WA, brothers, Donald Johnson, wife Lisa of Oklahoma City, OK and Thurman Jones, wife Mary Ellen of Tulsa, OK, sister, JoAnn Bibby of El Dorado, CA; and 4 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sons, Sanford Jones and John Lacy, sisters, Mildred Rowe, Judy Lee and Judy Jones.
A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Richie Clendenen officiating.
Interment will follow in Maple Springs Cemetery, Benton, KY.
No public visitation is scheduled.
