William Hollingsworth, 86

William Gobel Hollingsworth, “Billy”, “Papa Bear” Born on October 18, 1933 in Columbus, Kentucky to the late Hiriam Hollingsworth and Guynell Kimble Hollingsworth. Bill passed away on June 9, 2020 at The Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah, Kentucky at the age of 86 with his loving wife Martha Dean Hollingsworth by his side. Bill had a zest for life. A social butterfly, avid coffee drinker, who loved to dance and work in his garden, Bill loved to talk and tell amazing stories. He grew up tending to his family farm and had a lengthy career at Superior Fireplace. Bill had a love for animals. He left behind his cats Smokey and Blackie. Bill will be missed dearly by his family and friends. He was a retired supervisor with Superior Fireplace in Union City, TN, attended Hebron Baptist Church and was a Mason.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Dean Peek Hollingsworth, Kuttawa, KY; one daughter, Sandi Triffon & husband, Mark, Columbus, OH; one stepdaughter, Lana Hannaman & husband, Waymon, South Fulton, TN; four stepsons, Johnny French, South Fulton, TN; Steve Wallace & wife, Karen, Crofton, KY; Shannon Wallace & wife, Opal, Eddyville, KY; Stewart Walker & wife Jessica, Kuttawa, KY; two grandchildren, Samantha Dettinger & husband, John; Payden Pierce, Alexis Tiemeier & husband, Jason, Sophia and Melina Triffon; ten step grand children, Joseph McCoy, Jessica Allen, Lucas French, Brandley Hannaman, Deaven Wallace, Ashton, Aiden & Madison Wallace, Derek & Tanner Walker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hiriam and Guynell Kimble Hollingsworth.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville, KY from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery in Lyon County.
