Mr. Robert Michael Hess, age 78 of Gilbertsville, KY died on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at his home. He attended the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago and was a retired engineer for Motorola. He was a veteran of the US Navy.
Born Monday, May 26, 1941 in Pekin, IL, he was the son of the late Robert Hess and the late Helen (McBride) Hess.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Penelope (Crowell) Hess of Gilbertsville, KY, sons, Robert “Scott” Hess of Gilbertsville, KY and Brett Hess (Michele) of LaQuinta, CA, sister, Patricia Breitzka of Michigan City, IN, and 4 grandchildren, Jessica, Jake, Anika, and Chloe.
In compliance with the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the CDC’s health and public safety directives, the funeral services for Mr. Hess will be private. Bro. Brad Walker will officiate.
