Mrs. Sue Dexter Newton, 69 of Gilbertsville, KY passed away Monday, April 20, 2020, at her home.
Born Saturday, April 29, 1950 in Gilbertsville, KY, she was the daughter of the late James G. Dexter and the late Margaret (Martin) Dexter. She was a homemaker, mother and worked as a volunteer with the McCracken Co. Rape Crisis Center as a court advocate. She was a member of Gilbertsville First Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Jimmy Newton; her daughter, Shana Green, husband Bruce of Kuttawa, KY; brother, James G. “Jimmy” Dexter of Gilbertsville, KY; grandchildren, Ashley Renfro, husband Michael of Fort Drum, NY, Trisha Hugenroth, husband Jake of Austin, TX, Nathan Green, fiancee` Autumn Odom of Kuttawa, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In compliance with the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the CDC’s health and public safety directives, the funeral services for Mrs. Sue Dexter Newton will be private. Burial will take place in the Bethel Cemetery. Rev. Darrell Walker will officiate.
