Neva Norsworthy, 88

Neva Ann Norsworthy of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, passed away at her home in Cambridge Shores on February 27, 2020. She was 88. Neva was born in Metropolis, IL and was married to Perry Norsworthy in 1948.

She was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Benton, KY. Those who knew her best knew of her love for UK Wildcat’s basketball and traveling with groups to ballgames. Neva was always involved in her community. She was a member of the Paducah Woman’s Club and was Gov. Wendell Ford’s Campaign Chair for McCracken Co. in 1971. She served in many roles within the school system throughout her life including her service as Farley Elementary PTA President, working in the cafeteria and driving a school bus.

She is survived by 2 sisters, Linda Jordan of California and Laura Garner of Louisiana, her 4 children, Margaret Just of Paducah, Tammy (Harry) Epley of Marion, Tonja (Rodrigo) Marcus of Lafayette, California and Neal (Susan) Norsworthy of Louisville. In addition to her 4 children, she enjoyed her 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Perry, her daughter, Ann, and her parents.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Rev. Bill Lawson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour.
