Born Thursday, September 27, 1951 in Murray, KY, he was the son of the late Ralphy Howell Hicks and the late Irene (Eldridge) Hicks. He attended Vanzora Baptist Church.
He was one of twelve children, a brother to Larry Hicks, Garry Hicks, David Hicks, Eva Logsdon, Joyce Spain and Kathy Thompson and was preceded in death by his siblings: Ralph Hicks, Tommy Hicks, James Hicks, Janice Hicks and Ann Henson.
A loving father to Juanita and Wayne Meadows, Richard Hicks, Mandy and Shane Phelps, Lynn and Julie Hicks, Jennifer and Joshua Godfrey, Amanda and Vince Soulchin, a loving papaw to his eleven grandchildren, Kayla, Lacey, Hannah, Caitlin, Abigail, Alyssa, Lukas, Wiley, Noah, Kathryn and Garen and a loving great grandpa to Nala.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Rev. Mike Farmer will officiate. The eulogy will be given by Lynn Hicks.
Interment will follow the service in the Henson Family Cemetery, Symsonia, KY.
Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2020, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
