Ty Buchmeier signs to play football at Kentucky Wesleyan

Ty Buchmeier signed to play football at Kentucky Wesleyan College, joined by his parents Harold and Robin Buchmeier and standing (L-R) Greer Tynes, his brother Kane and sister Briley.

Wednesday at Marshall County High School, Ty Buchmeier signed to continue his football and academic career at Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, Ky. He will play for Head Coach Craig Yeast who just completed his first season leading the Panthers in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. Ty was one of 32 the Panthers signed Wednesday on National Signing Day.

Ty is a four-year member of the Marshall County football team and a major contributor on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. His versatility allowed him to excel in numerous roles on the field as a three-year starter and saw action as a receiver, running back and quarterback on offense while playing in the secondary. On defense he played the outside linebacker position.

He finished his career with 1,412 total yards of offense and 146 career tackles and was named to the 2018 and 2019 All-WKC honorable mention teams. Ty is also a member of the Marshall County baseball team.
