
The Lady Marshals improve to 16-8 and have won six straight following wins over Mayfield (14-7) on Saturday and Monday’s win over Hickman County (11-9).
Halle Langhi led with 25 points in the Lady Marshals 55-35 win over Mayfield. Langhi was 8/11 from the floor, 9/12 at the free throw line with eight rebounds.
A big 17-3 lead at the end of the first quarter, stretched to 33-12 at halftime behind 12 points from Langhi and nine by Jada Driver. Mayfield cut the lead to 10 points in the third quarter at 35-25 but the lead was 41-25 at the end of the quarter following a basket a the buzzer by Langhi, drawing the foul and making the free throw.
Mayfield cut the lead back to 11 points again in the fourth quarter but the Lady Marshals went on to win by 16.

Hickman County came into their home game on Monday against Marshall County with a six-game win streak, one the Lady Marshals ended with a 73-40 win, fueled by a 30-point night from Cayson Conner on 11/14 and was 5/6 at the free throw line.
Driver, Langhi and Conner gave the Lady Marshals an early 6-0 lead and they ended the first quarter up 18-7. Conner scored the first four points of the second quarter for a 22-7 lead and following a basket by Hickman County’s Baleigh Lester, Langhi made it a 24-9 game.
Leigh Ann Jones scored 11 straight points for the Lady Falcons in the quarter but they were answered with 11 points from Driver and a final bucket by Conner that put the Lady Marshals up 37-20 at halftime.
Akacia Taylor put up five points for Hickman County to start the second half but it was no match for the 15 points in the third quarter from Conner, nine coming from beyond the arc. A three from Mia Teague, free throw from Layne Pea and two of three at the line by Presley Jezik who was fouled shooting a three, ended the third on a 61-32 lead.
Jezik opened the fourth with a 3-pointer and Pea would hit the Lady Marshals 10th three of the game for a 67-37 lead on their way to a 73-40 win.
