Master Gardener Barbara Ray was our guest on Coffee Call

Joining us on WCBL’s Coffee Call recently was Master Gardener Barbara Ray. Ray says deer continue to be a problem in eating our plants. She says several plants are somewhat deer resistant and have a smell or taste that deer don’t like. Ray goes into more detail during the interview on what particular plants you can plant that are deer resistant. If you buy seed packets, one good organizational tool is to buy a photo album to put your seed packets in to help you know what you have and you won’t end up buying a lot of the same seeds. Ray says even though the weather has been warmer and almost spring like, it’s too early to start spring planting. But now is a good time to get all your tools cleaned and sharpened to be ready for spring.
