Barbara “Bobby” Mitchell, age 85, of Calvert City, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at her home. Bobby was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. She had worked at Arvin, Grinnell and Willow Pond in past time.
She is survived by her son, Roger A. Mitchell and wife, Dee of Fredonia; two daughters, Eva Olson and husband, Ken of Valparaiso, IN and Sherri A. Gilbert and husband, Jeff of Calvert City; one sister, Margaret Dunn of Princeton; eight grandchildren, Lori Winters, Chad Baker, Clint Baker, Vince Mitchell, Patrick Mitchell, Danielle Brock, Mickie Brunton and Sophia Brunton; 20 great grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; two step-great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, Joseph B. Jones and Estelle Colleen Redd Jones; 1st husband, Luther “T. O.” Mitchell, and 2nd husband, Albert “Phil” P. Mitchell; two sisters, Dorothy Nichols and Wanda Barrett.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Fox and Rev. Rex Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
