Michael L. Sheets, 72, of Mayfield, Kentucky, died Friday, December 27, 2019, at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield.
He was a computer application program developer/manager since the 1970s, and for the last 17 years he was employed by Derksen Portable Buildings. He was a member at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Mr. Sheets is survived by his wife, Brenda Hayden of Mayfield, KY; daughters, Kristin-Earlena and Melody of Mayfield, KY; son, Greg of Louisville, KY; five sisters, Barbra Cole, Kathy Omizo, Michelle Cody, Mitchi Uda, and Jennifer Uda — all of Las Vegas, NV, and his granddaughter Kathleen of Louisville, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer Lee Sheets and wife Mary Jane.
Expressions of sympathy made be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or The American Cancer Society.
A private funeral mass will be held at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Father Eric Riley will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Mayfield, KY.
