James “Jim” Sabo, age 72, of Benton, Kentucky passed away 8:04 P.M. on Monday, November 11, 2019 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Jim was born on February 8, 1947 in Paris, Tennessee to the late Ernest and Molly Allen Sabo. He worked in the motion picture industry and was a member of the Motion Picture Pioneers. Jim served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran.
He is survived by his son Todd (Tamara) Sabo of Blairsville, Georgia; his daughter, Tina (Jerry) McCartney of Belton, Texas; one sister, Kathy (Larry) Richardson of Kittrell, North Carolina; three brothers, Mike (Joyce) Sabo of Paducah, Dwayne Sabo of St. Louis, Missouri, Raymond Sabo of Goshen, Indiana; four grandchildren, Trenton Gage Low, Landon McCartney, Cohen McCartney and Gracian Sabo; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his childhood sweetheart and close friend, Bonita Edwards.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, 5817 Fort Campbell Blvd, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
