Mrs. Ethel Mae Powell, 94 of Benton, KY died on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. She was a homemaker and member of Zion’s Cause Baptist Church.
Born Friday, February 20, 1925 in Marshall Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Willie Raymond Rankin and the late Helen (Sikes) Rankin.
Surviving are daughters, Karen Cuff, husband Ben of Benton, KY and Teresa Barrett, husband Jerry Don of Benton, KY, brother, Charles Ray Rankin of West Paducah, KY, grandchildren, Van Powell, Christian Rosa, Nikki Powell, Jamie Hathcock, Sheena Hathcock, Melissa Lovett, 14 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon C. Powell, son, Jerry Leon Powell, a grandson, Cory Don Barrett, brother, Raymond Rankin, Jr., and sisters, Willie Mae Powell, Etta Roberts and Louise DeTie.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025.
Interment will follow in the Wilson Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Collier Funeral Home.
