Mrs. Caroline Josephine (Pryor) Haley, 84 of Benton, KY, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born Wednesday, July 31, 1935 in Graves Co, KY, she was the daughter of the late John Brown Pryor and the late Allie (Clark) Pryor. She was an educator, a beloved teacher at Jonathan Elementary for 27 years until her retirement. She also served on the state of Kentucky and Marshall County Committee for Adult Education and was an Extreme Lady Marshal’s Basketball Fan. She was also a academic coach for the Jonathan Elementary Academic Team.
She was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Chloris D. Haley of Brewrs, KY; son, Jeffrey Haley, wife Sherry of Brewers, KY; daughter, Cynthia Reynolds, husband Danny of Brewers, KY; sisters, Mary Ann Cates of Florida and Nancy Riley of Mayfield, KY; six grandchildren, Del Reynolds, wife Misty of Hendersonville, TN, Allison Mann, husband Sam of Benton, KY, Lee Reynolds of Brewers, KY, Jarin “JJ” Haley of Centerville, TN, Jadrian Haley Charette, husband Damion of Brewers, KY, Will Jay Haley of Lebanon, TN; six great-grandchildren, Jaley Charette of Brewers, KY, Taz Steele of Brewers, KY, Danielle Steele of Benton, KY, Haley Reynolds of Hendersonville, TN, Dawson Reynolds of Hendersonville, TN and Kylie Reynolds also of Hendersonville, TN; four step great-grandchildren, Sam Mann, Dalton Mann, Zack Mann and Briar Mann all of Benton, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Johnny Pryor, Jack Pryor, George Pryor and Jimmy Pryor, sisters, Lilly Bazzell and Betty Cashion.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Rev. Richard Dowdy will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Brewers Cemetery, Brewers, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
