Mr. Robert A. Veatch, 65 of Benton, KY died on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at his home. He was a production operator for Exxon Mobil and was a member of Benton First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed bowling with his family, and considered his greatest blessings in life to be his grandchildren.
Born Wednesday, November 4, 1953 in Carmi, IL, he was the son of the late Rufus Robert Veatch and the late Concepcion (Ortiz) Veatch.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Alice (Cooper) Veatch of Benton, KY, sons, William Veatch of Muncie, IN and Patrick Veatch of Murray, KY, daughters, Jennifer Phillips of Denver, CO and Maria Arthur of Berwick, LA, step-children, Kurt Thoele of King George, VA and Erin Sauce of Patterson, LA, sisters, Yvonne Burgess of Phoenix, AZ and Celia Rizen of Evansville, IN, and 10 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Shumway, IL.
