Halle Riley helped lead the The University of Tampa women’s golf team to a win last weekend in the UIS Island Getaway held at Rio Mar Country Club – Ocean Course in Rio Grande, P.R. The win wrapped up a successful fall season for the nation’s No. 5 ranked team.
UT took the top three overall spots in the tournament, Riley having her best overall finish to wrap up the fall with two consecutive top-three finishes. She finished second overall at +4 (146) behind teammate Kiira Riihijarvi at 4-under (138) for the two-day tournament. The Tampa team won the championship with +23 (591). The win was UT’s second of the fall season and third team title in program history.
