Donnie Leonard with the Marshall County Elks Lodge recently joined WCBL’s Chris Freeland on Coffee Call. Now is the time for elks lodge members to apply for scholarship money. The Elks Lodge hands out 3.5 million in scholarship money each year nationwide. To apply, go to elks.org. Scholarships are based on grades, community involvement and other factors. Leonard says the Marshall County Elks Lodge recently held their annual golf tournament and raised over $50,000 for the Marshall County Exceptional Center. And the always popular Elks Hoop Shoot will be held starting soon after the first of the year.
