Mr. Robert S. Murphey, age 82, of Mayfield passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY.
He was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church, a Gideon and a retired employee of Youngblood’s True Value.
Mr. Murphey is survived by his wife, Phyllis Evelyn Mathis Murphey; one son, Jimmy (Betsy) Murphey of Huntersville, NC; one grandson, James D. Murphey; two cousins; and several nieces and nephews.
He preceded in death by his parents, Novice and Ruby Boyd Murphey.
Funeral services for Mr. Robert S. Murphey will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Sr. and Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2019 at the funeral home.
