Born Wednesday, December 27, 1939 in Marshall Co, KY. He was the son of the late Louie Henson and the late Mary Elizabeth Henson.
He was an avid hunter while in Wyoming. When he retired from out west, he got bored here in Kentucky so he went to work for Wal-Mart in the Sporting-goods department. He loved working here until they closed the gun section. He then started pulling campers all over the United States but later decided to go work for his son, Kenny, where he drove a 3-car hauler which he loved until his health declined. He was the tail runner when he rode motorcycles and was always ready to follow on any adventure. He became a grandad to so many. He will be missed terribly but know that one day we will all rejoice with him in Heaven.
He is survived by Judy Henson of Benton, KY; sons, Kenny Henson wife Dee Dee of Hardin, KY, Terry King wife Tami of TN; daughters, Belinda Henson Blakney of Benton, KY, Cindy Sanchez husband Arnold of West Jordan, UT; 11 grandchildren, Matthew Henson, Meagan (Clinton) O’Bryan, Heather (Chris) Marshall, Lynette (John) Dukes, Kendall Blakney, Crystal (Seth) Neuffer, Evan King; and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Linda Faye Henson; and grandsons, Jarrod Mills and Lance King.
A graveside service will be at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Olive Methodist Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Young officiating.
