Wins over Madisonville-North Hopkins (2-0) and Bardstown (2-0) and one loss to Breckinridge (2-0) in pool play at the Quad State Volleyball Tournament put the CFS Lady Eagles in the Silver Bracket. They dropped their first game of the Silver Bracket to Warren East (2-1) followed by losses to University Heights (2-1) and White Station (2-0) to finish eighth in the Silver pool.
Abigail Cima led CFS in kills over the six games with 48 followed by Emma Fletcher with 26 and Maggie Wagner with 18. Emma Alexander had 66 assists, Fletcher had 31 digs, Cima had seven aces and Lillian Burnett six. Fletcher led in digs with 31, Burnett had 14 and Lexi Hovekamp with 11.
Hosted by McCracken County, games were played at the Plex in Paducah on Friday and Saturday. McCracken County won the Quad State title. The Lady Eagles’ (20-7) next game will be a rematch at UHA on Monday, Oct. 14.
