James E. “Jimmy” Crews, Jr., age 72 of Wickliffe, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis.
Jimmy was born on December 26, 1946 in Cairo, Illinois. He was a member and Trustee at New Liberty General Baptist Church in Wickliffe. Jimmy reached the ranks of Sergeant in the United States Army. He worked for 35 years as a Crain Operator at Westvaco and was a member of Masonic Lodge 625 in Wickliffe.
Jimmy is survived… by his daughter, Mary Kimberly Crews Milgate and husband, James of Wickliffe; one sister, Judy Harris and husband, Gary of Richmond, Kentucky; one brother, Paul “Tommy” Crews and wife, Linda of Wickliffe; two grandchildren, Jamie Faye Williams and husband, Justin and Aaron Benjamin Milgate as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mary Faye Trevathan Crews; his parents, James E. Crews, Sr. and Jeanette Rose Crews Bishop.
Masonic Rites will be performed at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe. Funeral Services will follow with Rev. David Gargus and Rev. Ryan Hedrick officiating. Burial will follow at Burkley Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service time on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe.
