Gary Barnes, 81, of Reidland passed away at 7:07 pm on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Mr. Barnes was the owner of Glass Service of Paducah and worked for Reidland Water and Paducah Water. He was a veteran of the Army serving in the Korean War, retired Chief of Reidland Volunteer Fire Department, and a member of Reidland Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Barnes of Reidland; one son, Ricky Peck of Reidland; four daughters, Tina (Jeff) Bone of Lone Oak, Dedra Barnes of Paducah, Patti Jo Barnes of Lone Oak, and Lavina (Tommy) Rogers of Reidland; one sister, Phyllos Ross of Cynthiana; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Chapple and Edith Mae (Thomasson) Barnes; and brother in law, Roy Ross.
A graveside service will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, September 30, 2019 at Sharpe Church of Christ Cemetery in Benton, KY with Terrell Lee officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm Monday at Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah.
