Mr. Chester “Jimmy” Wilford, Jr., age 84, of Hickory passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019 at his residence.
He was of the Baptist Faith, a former member of Clear Springs Fire Department and a retired mechanic.
Mr. Wilford is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorris J. Cope Wilford; one son, Jimmy “Marcy” Wilford of Hickory, KY; one daughter, Carolyn A. Wilford (Randell) Cline of Hickory, KY; one brother, Charlie Wilford of Mayfield, KY; nine grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Danny E. Wilford and Robert “Rawhide” Wilford; one daughter, Nadine Wilford; one grandson, Trevyn Chase Wilford; four brothers, Mac Wilford, Jack Wilford, Bill Wilford and Bobby Wilford; two sisters, Martha Sue Burnett and Wanda Ann Smith; and his parents, Chester and Goldie M. Taylor Wilford, Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Chester “Jimmy” Wilford, Jr. will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Sr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Austin Garrigus, Nathyn Wilford, Trestan McClure, Daniel Ivey, Drew Gore and Kaleb Gore. Honorary pallbearers will be Devyn West, Jon Hayden and Matthew Hayden.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the funeral home.
