Carl Clendon Burnett, 92, of Paducah passed away at his home on Friday, September 6, 2019. Mr. Burnett retired from Shawnee TVA as an Assistant Shift Engineer after 32 years of service. He was a United States Army Veteran of WW II. Carl was a member of the Twelve Oaks Baptist Church and Woodmen Life of Paducah.
Carl was born to George Oscar and Polly Thurston Burnett in Graves County on July 20, 1927. He will be remembered as a loving, hard working husband and father.
He… is survived by his wife of 49 years, Vida Rambo Burnett, his daughter, Catherine Burnett Sutton and husband, Virgil of Paducah, and several nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents: three brothers: Rudy, Walton and Vernice Burnett; two sisters: Rena Walters and Myrtle Barnhill.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Monday, September 9, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Dr. Brandt Lyon officiating. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Garden Mausoleum with Carl’s nephews serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
