Mrs. Caroline Covington Copeland, age 83, of Mayfield passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in Mayfield, KY.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, a former co-chairman of the Living Christmas Tree at First Baptist Church, a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class, a former coordinator for senior adult trips at First Baptist Church and was influential in starting the Shoe Box Ministry at the church. She was also a retired realtor and retired employee of the Mayfield Messenger.
Mrs. Copeland is survived by her husband, Austin Copeland; three sons, Earl Hunt Wiman of Nashville, TN, Austin Downs “Skip” Copeland of Murray, KY and David Frank Copeland of Houston, TX; two daughters, Mary Caroline Greenwood of Mayfield, KY and Nancy Copeland of Benton, KY; one sister, Mary Hunt Johnson of Mayfield, KY; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hunt and Pearl Ligon Covington.
Graveside services for Mrs. Caroline Covington Copeland will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Maplewood Cemetery. Rev. Wes Fowler will officiate. Interment will follow.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Monday at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
