Wanda J. Stonum, 79, of Benton, KY passed away at 8:35 AM on Monday, July 29, 2019 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.
Wanda was born in Golden Pond, KY located in the Land Between the Lakes. She was a loving mother, who loved to cook, and also had a love for cats. She was a member of Benton Church of Christ.
Wanda is survived by four sons, Jeffrey Mitchuson (Tonya) of Hardin, KY, Brian Mitchuson of Benton, KY, Jamie Mitchuson (Edith) of Benton, KY, and Tommy Mitchuson (Jennifer) of Hardin, KY; three daughters, Anita Hardy (Ronnie) of Benton, KY, Nellie Warren (David) of Sedalia, KY, and Judy Litchfield (Richard) of Benton, KY; four sisters, Julie Ann Edmonds of Trigg County, KY, Wilmadene Coy of Murray, KY, Martha Sampson of Hickman, KY, and Karen Hopkins of Murray, KY; one brother, Earl Thomas Oakley of Cadiz, KY ; Several Grandchildren and Several Great Grandchildren; and Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Chesterfield Mitchuson, her son, Chester Lee Mitchuson; three sisters Sue Norghington, Faye Reynold, Dale Flemings; four brothers, Leroy Oakley, Danny Oakley, Gene Smith, and Edgar Smith. Her parents were Thomas Dale Oakley and Dove Oakley.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in LBL with Bro. Elijah Balentine will officiate.
Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
