Mr. John L. Tucker, age 87, of Kirksey, Kentucky died at 7:10am Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Hickory Woods Retirement Center, Murray, Kentucky.
Mr. Tucker was born March 2, 1932 in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late Dale & Zetra Roach Tucker. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, a retired farmer and was very involved in soil conservation, and a member of the Kirksey Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Garland Tucker after over 60 years of pleasure.
He is survived by his sons, Randy Tucker (Vicki), Murray, and Curtis Tucker (Jeri), Kirksey; brother, Jerry Don Tucker, Murray; three grandchildren, Shawn Tucker (Katie Bogard), Chris Tucker (Stephanie), and Jeremy Tucker; and seven great grandchildren, Savannah Mathis, Audrey Tucker, Whitley Tucker, Amelia Tucker, John Tucker, Levi Tucker, and Jude Tucker.
The funeral service will be at 11:00am Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home with Rev. Van Russell officiating. The burial will follow in the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Kirksey and friends may visit the family from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday at the Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home.
