Kentucky Prospects win St. Louis Summer Slam

(Cottleville, MO)-The Kentucky Prospects 12U AA baseball team won the GameTime Tournaments Summer Slam Championship on Sunday at Strehl Fields. Their path to the trophy started with a pool play loss to the St. Louis Phillies, 3-1. The Prospects won their second game in pool play over the St. Louis Adidas Athletics 10-9.

The semi-finals matched the team up against the Athletics again and the Prospects’ Brayden McCuiston pitched Kentucky into the championship with a perfect game, 11-0 victory. In the championship, the Prospects avenged their only loss in the tournament, defeating the St. Louis Phillies 14-3. The Prospects conclude their 12U AA season this weekend at the Bluegrass Bash in Versailles. The Kentucky Prospects 12U AA team is coached by Brad Bishop, Allen Rice, Zack Nancy Hefner and Erik Wilson.
