The Volunteer Open Auctioneer Championship was held at the Embassy Suites in Nashville this past weekend. The competition was open to all U.S. licensed auctioneers. There were 16 auctioneers competing from 6 different states. One of those competitors was local auctioneer Brad ‘Bones’ Harris of Calvert City!
The auctioneers were observed by a panel of 5 judges that judged them on appearance, stage presence, crowd interaction, clarity of chant, description of items, speed of chant, rhythm of chant, and how likely they would be to hire them as an Auctioneer.
Brad not only made it through to the finals, but he placed 5th overall in the competition!
