Bernadine Watkins, age 85, of Paducah, KY passed away at 5:57 a.m. Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. Bernadine was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and a retired Bank Teller from People’s National Bank which is now Regions Bank. She was a graduate of Clarkson High School in Clarkson, KY. Bernadine loved to walk, enjoyed her yard and flowers. She was a St. Mary’s High School Booster and an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. Bernadine… was a long time volunteer for the Lourdes Auxiliary and enjoyed meeting new people there.
Survivors include one daughter, Terry Neihoff and husband, Dwayne of Paducah; two granddaughters, Christy Neihoff, and Trista Cochran and husband, Reed, both of Lexington, KY; two sisters, Maxine Powell of Cecilia, KY and Emogene Hagan of Elizabethtown, KY; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death was her husband, Floyd C. Watkins, parents, Clarence T. Smallwood & Anna Mae Perry Smallwood; three sisters, Ethel Cook, Alberta Carswell and Evelyn Richardson Sallings.
Services will be held 12:00 noon, Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Rev. Brad Whistle officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until service time of 12:00 noon at the church.
