Robert Joseph Holcomb, age 66, of Gilberstville, Kentucky, passed away on May 15, 2019 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN.
Bob was a beloved and very active member of St. Matthew by the Lake Lutheran Church. Bob loved fishing, gardening, camping, cooking and helping others in the community. He also co-chaired a charity fundraiser called Hook’em for the Hungry at the church.
He is survived by a daughter, Katie (Dan) Joseph of Arnold, Missouri and a son, Rob Holcomb (Kevin Hayes) of Fenton, Missouri. He was very proud of his two granddaughters, Callie and Elsie Joseph.
He is also survived by dear friends Jim (Dottie) Hill, Hontas Fields, neighbors on Dogwood Hills Club Court and the congregation of St. Matthew by the Lake.
His surviving family also includes three sisters, one brother, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Clara Holcomb.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mathew by the Lake Lutheran Church with Pastor Colleen Winkler officiating.
Visitation will be on June 15, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at St. Matthew by the Lake Lutheran Church.
