Former Lady Marshal, Cayce Hendrickson, wrapped up her collegiate golf career at the University of Missouri on April 17-19 at the SEC Championships on the Greystone Golf and Country Club course in Birmingham, Ala. The Tigers finished 12th (299-298-300=900), just a few shots shy of the top eight cut to play on the weekend.
Hendrickson led Mizzou on the final day with an even-par 72 which tied for the lowest round for the Tigers during the three-day tournament with teammate Emma Allen who shot a 72 on the second day. The round for Hendrickson was three strokes better than her previous SEC Championship low round of 75 in 2018.
Her three-day total (78-77-72=227) was one stroke out of the top score posted for Mizzou from teammates Emma Allen (73-72-81=226) and Jess Yuen (73-76-77=226) who both tied for 41st. Hendrickson tied for 47th with teammate Amanda Kim (76-73-78=277). The fifth spot on the team was Keagon Dunn (77-80-76=233) who finished tied for 61st.
Hendrickson’s career-best while at Mizzou came in the 2018 Johnie Imes Invitational, hosted by the Mizzou team in Columbia, Mo., finishing the tournament with a two-under par (72-71-71=214).
Hendrickson graduated with an Economics Degree this weekend from Mizzou and plans to join her dad, Rich Hendrickson, as a Financial Planner in Benton. She leaves Mizzou with many honors starting with the 2015-2016 season when she earned SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll. In 2017 she was Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll and WGCA All-American Scholar and in 2018, again was on the Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll and a WGCA All-American Scholar.
