Geraldine Hargett Puckett, age 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Clinton Place in Clinton, KY.
She was a graduate of Lowes High School, dedicated her life to nursing and the role of a pastor’s wife. She was employed by Care Inn, Green Acres and Mills Manor nursing homes and provided private duty nursing care to over 100 Mayfield families. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Mayfield.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Tony) Puckett of Hickory and Tonya (Kevin) Riley of Arlington; six grandchildren, Misty (Aaron) Svoboda, Stacey Feezor, Summer Puckett, Emmett (Madison) Riley, Cheyenne (Derrick) Bishop and Makayla Puckett; six great grandchildren, Bryanna Girard, Bryce Puckett, Scott Svoboda, Eli Svoboda, Abby Svoboda and Delilah Jenkins; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Puckett; her parents, Said Walker and Mabel Hargett; and her grandparents, William Eli and Mary Byerley.
Funeral services for Geraldine Hargett Puckett will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Mike Mercer will officiate. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Folsomdale.
Pallbearers will be Tony Puckett, Aaron Svoboda, Kevin Riley, Emmett Riley, Derrick Bishop and Arlie Byerley, Jr.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the funeral home.
