Mayfield, KY. (April 30, 2019) Trooper Justin Fox and Trooper Mike Ray were on routine patrol on KY 121 north approximately 5 miles north of Mayfield on April 29, 2019. They observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed at approximately 11:33 A.M. Trooper Fox conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and the driver admitted to having drug paraphernalia. Trooper Fox searched the vehicle and found a small smoking pipe used for smoking drugs, a substance believed to be Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and a concealed handgun. The driver, Christian M. Kaler, 18 of Mayfield, was arrested and charged with Speeding 19 MPH over the Limit, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense, Possession of Marijuana, possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, The passenger, Dylan T. Wiggins, 19 of Mayfield, was arrested and charged with Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon. Kaler and Wiggins were both lodged in the Graves County Jail.
