Caleb Pahl already owns the Marshall County High School indoor pole vault record of 13’6″, set March 8 at the Marion Invitational in Marion, Ill. and has now set a new outdoor record with a vault of 14’1″ at Saturday’s Swift and Staley Midwest Challenge at McCracken County High School. Pahl broke the old record of 14-0 set in 2013 by Cody Gregory.

Pahl, a freshman, is the reigning Class 3A Region 1 pole vault champion with 12-0 and has been on a upward spiral ever since, with recent vaults this spring of 12-0, 13-6 and his record-breaking 14-1 which also set a new meet record on Saturday.

Bryce Ladd also competed Saturday and placed third with 11-0.
