This week’s Lyles Eye Center Team of the Week is the Marshall County Bass Fishing team. On Saturday, the team placed second overall in the Laker Open on Lake Barkley among 11 schools and a total of 120 anglers. Two Marshall County teams placed in the top 10.
In March, the Marshall County anglers took second in the Marshall County Irish Spring Tournament held at Kentucky Dam Marina. Two teams finished in the top ten among a field of 146 anglers representing 11 schools. Conor Washburn earned the Big Bass Award with a fish weighing in a 6 lbs. 3 ozs.
The team will compete Saturday, April 20, at Kuttawa Harbor Marina and on April 27, back at Kuttawa for the KHSAA Regional Tournament. They are coached by Nick Binns.
