James “Jim” Sanders, 91, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis, Illinois. Jim was born in Humboldt, Tennessee. He was retired Manager for Commercial Credit. Jim was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church. He received his Bachelors Degree in Business from Murray State University. Jim served in the United States Army during World War II and was stationed in the Philippines.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jackie Clark Sanders; son, Alan Sanders and wife, Nancy of Paducah, Kentucky; daughter, Shawn Turner and husband, Ricky of Paducah, Kentucky; sister, Carolyn Martin of Milan, Tennessee; brother, Buford Little of Bartlett, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Brett Sanders and wife, Jackie of Cincinnati, Ohio, Brad Sanders of Nashville, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Will James Sanders and Pauline Johnson Sanders Little and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Dr. Dan Summerlin and Rev. Jeff Wallace officiating. Entombment with military honors will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2019 at the funeral home.
