Mrs. Daletta Rose Smothers, 65 of Benton, KY died on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.
Daletta was a homemaker who enjoyed working on the farm with her husband. She also enjoyed going to ballgames to watch her grandchildren. She was a member of 1st Missionary Baptist Church of Benton.
Born Saturday, February 21, 1953 in Murray, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Dallas Rose and the late Mabel (Garner) Rose.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Smothers of Benton, KY; one daughter, Melanie Conner and husband Brad of Benton, KY; sister, Lucy Yates of Mayfield, KY; and two grandchildren, Colby Conner and Cayson Conner both of Benton, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Ed Rose, Donald Rose; sisters, Brenda Hall, Kathleen Wyatt; and grandchild, Cory Conner.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with the Rev. K. Alan Miller and Jeremy Rose officiating.
Interment will follow in Middle Fork Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Collier Funeral Home.
